In the period from 29 to 31 March 2016, trade mission in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan was held, organized by CLEANTECH LATVIA. Our delegation consisted of the following Latvian and Finish partners: SIA Karme Filtrs, SIA Vega1, SIA Technobalt, SIA General Energy Group, Doranova Oy, Ferroplan Oy and Kaukointernational Oy.
The aim of the trade mission was to establish direct contacts with top government officials and representatives of major businesses and develop a good and lasting business relationship through joint investment projects in the field of clean technologies, science and education.
During the trade mission two round-table discussions were held, where the Kyrgyz and Latvian experience of conducting environmentally friendly technologies was discussed. The first discussion was held in the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, which was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, various international organizations, and leaders and members of local initiatives that support environmentally friendly solutions. The second discussion was held with the participation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, in which they discussed possible ways of cooperation.
Summing up the results achieved, we should to note that top government officials of Kyrgyzstan made a very significant contribution to the preparation and conduction of the visit. We were also pleased and honoured by interest in experience of Latvia and Finland in the field of protection and rational use of the environment, as well as their willingness to cooperate.
This trade mission has opened up new opportunities for the development of our cooperation with Central Asia.
