Initiation of beneficial cooperation with Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on 19 May 2016

On 19 May 2016 in the premises of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mr. Nurlan Musuraliev, Vice President of the Chamber hosted Mr. Iakov Dondych, Project Manager of BALTIC CLEANTECH ALLIANCE partner Finnish Water Forum (FWF) and Mr. Azamat Kasymov, Head of Energy, Transport and Infrastructure Development Department of CAIConsulting.

Main purpose of the meeting was to get introduced with current business environment in Kyrgyzstan, Kyrgyz business interests related to water and energy efficiency sectors as well as to discuss possible support in upcoming CB2East event in Kyrgyzstan in October 2016.

During the discussion Mr. Nurlan Musuraliev noted that regarding to the general business climate, the Kyrgyz Republic is probably one of the best countries in the Central Asian region.

He also introduced with the situation in water sector in the Kyrgyz Republic and told about Issyk-Kul Province environmental challenges. He underlined that the possibility for cooperation is very good, especially in wastewater treatment.

As a result of positive discussions, both parties have expressed an interest on mutually beneficial cooperation and further development of contacts.

The FWF will take in the consideration the possible cooperation and support of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic in upcoming event in Kyrgyzstan.
